Waste Policies

  1. All garbage pickup is curbside

  2. All garbage MUST be bagged

  3. Do NOT put ashes, paint, or paint thinner or any other building materials in or on the can

  4. Sharing services with another person IS PROHIBITED

  5. All cans must be placed no more than (2) feet from the roadside by 7:00 am the morning of pickup

  6. If your garbage is not out by 7:00 am and not picked up on your pick up day, it will NOT be picked up until next week

  7. Do not block mailboxes with cans

  8. All cat litter must be double bagged and tied up

  9. No yard trimmings (grass clippings, tree limbs, etc.) will be picked up. The landfill will not accept yard trimmings with the household garbage

  10. No more than TWO extra garbage bags are allowed. These may be placed in a personal can; but only two bags will be picked up.

  11. If a holiday falls on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, then your service day will be Thursday

  13. We provide a no cost recycling opportunity for cardboard, newspapers, office paper, aluminum, and for plastics #1 & #2 at the City Library. There you will find separate, labeled containers for dropping off these recyclable materials.

Due to Labor Day Holiday being on Monday, September 7, 2009 the trash will be picked up on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
