16 Volunteer Firefighters
The Maysville Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department which serves the Maysville Fire District. Funding is provided by tax revenues from Jackson County. The fire department has a current ISO 6 rating.
James Lyle serves as the fire chief, and there are 16 volunteer firefighters. Dispatch is handled through the 911 system, which is coordinated by Jackson County Dispatch. Automatic aid is provided by the City of Commerce. Mutual aid agreements are in place through GEMA, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency.
